About Company
Lviv Radio-Engineering Research Institute state enterprise (LRERI SE) was established in 1956 by the Ministry of radio-industry of the USSR as an affiliated person of the scientific-industrial corporation "ANTEI", Moscow, Russia. Nowadays, LRERI is the state property enterprise subordinated to the "UKROBORONPROM" state concern. LRERI's mission is to design and develop new technologies in the fields of different purposes radiolocation and radio-engineering systems in the broad wave band up to 95 GHz and land vehicle command and control systems (vetronics) with delivery to the Customer the complete technical documentation, experimental and pilot models and providing consulting and training of the Customer's personnel. The Institute has some "know-how" in the sphere of flexible and flexible-hard printed circuit boards, antenna-waveguide assemblies, radiotransparent radome, 3D antenna polarizers, millimeter-wave band twist and transreflectors using composites, carbon plastic, honeycomb fillers production engineering. LRERI exclusively holds the original high-productive technique of manufacturing the wave-guide channels in device case-shaped parts for channeling microwave power millimeter-wave band.

The Institute was founded as an integrated research and production center to provide developments of general- and special-purpose radio-electronic systems, processes, software, and products prototypes manufacturing.

In the times of the USSR, the Institute was the leader in creating radio systems for external-trajectory measurements and in using 3 mm wave band in radar equipment developments for various purposes.

The main lines are development and introducing the following equipment into full-scale production:

  • - mm-wave band radar and radio systems (as to this activity, the Institute is appointed the leading organization by the Ministry of Industrial policy of Ukraine)
  • - special- and general-purpose land vehicles based command and control systems
  • - special-purpose computer-aided control systems
  • - navigation and ground object survey control systems
  • - command radio links including impact resistant airborne equipment
  • - mm-wave band airborne control units
  • - radio systems and measuring units provided to carry out proving ground tests.

Research Establishment Organizational Structure

Organizationally, the Institute includes Departments and Sub-departments:

  • - Systems Engineering
  • - Circuit Engineering
  • - Design
  • - General and Micro-electronic Technology
  • - Computer Engineering and Software
  • - General Technical Servicing
  • - Pilot Production Facility, with the number of the employed about 100.

The Institute structure provides development process, specimen production, test run and introducing into full-scale production the unique radio systems designed for various purposes, with the use of digital signal processing facilities, software CAD systems and development and producing of radio complexes, devices and units.

The Institute structure and the available scientific and production basis ensure the development fulfillment with the use of integrated micro-miniaturization techniques.

Research and production program of the Institute is provided in the shops and working areas:

  • - machining
  • - plating
  • - paint coating
  • - winding article manufacture
  • - product assembly and mounting
  • - thin-film and thick-film micro-circuit manufacture
  • - functional electronics product manufacture.
